You have to admit, real estate advertising is normally pretty boring (well we think it is anyway!). It's normally "come list with us, we're great" type stuff (yawn). No surprise - we thought we would do something a little different and have some fun trying some stuff out. So with one's tongue firmly planted in one's cheek, here are some examples from the last few weeks, along with a little background:
The start - pretty boring really, just a basic introduction to the brand and some of the differentiators:
By re-engineering how real estate is done we have reduced the comission cost to sellers by a factor of 10-15 times. So we thought it would be fun to poke fun at the high cost of "old" agents:
Of course we had to poke some fun at the trappings of the "traditional" or "old" (as we refer to them) real estate agent. What are they known for - fancy suits, fancy cars, the real-estate-speak, the click-clack of high heel shoes, you know the story. This was about showing we are different:
Real estate in New Zealand is regulated by the Real Estate Agents Authority (REAA). On a regular basis the media publishes stories about various real estate licensees that have done something wrong and been punished by the REAA. Some of it really serious (disgusting doesn't even get close to describing the plonker that stole money from an elderly, trusting, client), some of it a little less significant (not removing signs fast enough, or not providing the right booket at the right time, mmmmmmm). So a play on all these complaints:
Credit where credit is due - this one was the idea of one of our developers, good on you Jared!
And we liked the "old" agent comparison, so we modified it slightly for another go:
